“I had tried other swimming lessons for my twin boys Asher and Jess on three different occasions and the results were minimal at best. Not only were the results minimal, the environment of too many kids and too few instructors was making my boys frightened of a pool. Asher has Cerebral Palsy making his right side partially paralyzed so hanging from a wall waiting for “his turn” was traumatic for us all. When I contacted Baby Otters and told them about my son with physical limitations they did not hesitate for an instant. They said they will work with him even if it took longer than 5 days to get the Turn, Kick, Reach skills mastered.

The Baby Otter’s format of, one-on-one instruction for 5 consecutive days, works and it worked for Asher in 5 days. Asher can do it, he can fall in the water, turn around, kick to the wall, reach out and hang on. Marlene was so understanding and patient with Asher. She was full of love and encouragement and made him feel comfortable and confident in his abilities. His kicks are more like riding a bicycle and his reach is mostly with his left arm but Marlene worked with what he could do and through her expertise he accomplished the goal of swimming under the water to the wall.
I can’t wait to come back for more lessons and see both my boys, Asher and Jess swimming even more.

Thank you for turning my child’s disability into the ability of swimming!”
